Winter Pitching Program (WEEKLY CLASSES): 2009-2010 Session

Everyone agrees that pitching is the most important position on the field.  All teams want better pitching.  If you want to become the best pitcher you are capable of being then you need to participate in this comprehensive program.  Each player will receive a complete computer motion analysis to develop a individualized plan for improvement.  Create your optimum delivery, learn proper techniques for pitches, increase velocity and movement, and learn the mental strategies needed for success at the highest level.

In the last twelve years this program has produced several major league players, 7 drafted pitchers, 10 NCAA Division 1 pitchers, and over 20 College level pitchers.  From the little leagues to the big leagues we know the process for improvement.

In an effort to provide the most comprehensive pitcher training available, the Academy has established a program with room for 64 pitchers.  The program will develop the pitchers mechanics, off-speed pitches, as well as the mental aspects of pitching. Video will be used at the beginning and end of the program in conjunction with a progress analysis.

Pitchers will be paired up for the one throwing session per week from November through February.  This program has a set meeting time each week.  If you cannot commit for the entire period you will not be eligible for enrollment.   Lesson packages are available to players who cannot commit to the Winter Program schedule.  However, those lessons are based on time available.  Click here for more information.

The program  fills up by the middle September. Plan ahead to reserve your spot.

The program will also address the importance of strength training and conditioning.  Each player will be provided with a strength training and conditioning program that they can follow on their own.  This, in conjunction with the lessons, will help each player reach their maximum physical ability.

The winter pitching program is taught by Mark Potoshnik. Coach Potoshnik has over 20 years of coaching experience at the college and high school levels.  As well as coaching players, Coach Potoshnik speaks regularly at coaching clinics and seminars to educate other coaches on all aspects of pitching.
