This year the Academy will be coordinating games consisting of Academy teams and other local area teams that join in our fall program. Age groups will be U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 & U18. Wood bats are required for U15, U16 & U18 teams only. |
Games Begin-
Saturday, August 25th and end Sunday, October 21st
No games September 1st or 2nd in honor of Labor Day
A total of 16 games will be played with one umpire per game.
Games are subject to rainouts. Every effort will be made to make up the game, however some games may be missed due to inclement weather.
Teams can specify whether they want to play one game each weekend day or both games on the same day. Each team will play other Academy teams and possibly teams from outside of the Academy league. Teams may also play games against age groups within one year of their own age group (i.e. a U14 team may play a U13 team). Team age groups will be based on the league age for the 2008 season.
Special Note: For 2008, the league age birth date will be April 30th. So, what a players age on or before April 30th will be his league age. If his birth date is May 1st or after (and for example, turns 14) he would still be considered a league age 13 year old. Whether you are staying in Koufax or moving up to Mickey Mantle, the change will affect all age groups. Other leagues may or may not be making this change. You will need to contact the league you will be in for the 2008 season to determine which age group you will be for the fall season.
Uniforms, Equipment, Scheduling, Umpires-
The
Academy will provide game scheduling, 4-dozen game balls, umpires and fields.
Each team should consist of enough players to field a team.
If not, the Academy may be able to supplement players.

per team = $1500.00
A $200 non-refundable deposit will hold your teams spot. The balance is due with the submission of the required paperwork.

Various models of wood bats are available at various price ranges.
Team purchases (10 or more bats) will receive a 10% discount.
